California, here I... uh, am. :D

Made it to California, the land of sunshine and fake tans! Woohoo!

xD Sorry... I had to.

So, I'm happily moved in to my apartment with my lovely room mates. Sadly, one dropped out, so there's only the three of us. Good news is (this may sound horrible)... I've got my own room, and it fits my keyboard, my guitar, and a bookshelf :). It kinda worked out, lol.

In other news, I'm truckin' along in the YA's. I'm finished with orientation, and recently finished with meet-and-greet with all the Old Kids. As of today, I've been adopted 7 times! I've got a big family!

There's Natalie (who had me before anyone else did), and Caitlin (I LOVE HER!!!!),  Amber (I LOVE HER TOO!!!), Andrew, Katie, ... another girl who's name I don't know, and Kyle. Lots of "big brothers and big sisters". :D It's good to be adopted :3. The more the merrier!!!!!!

I sang for meet-and-greet a snipet of "A Change in Me" from Beauty and the Beast the musical that Susan Egan made popular.

Susan Egan was a Young American for awhile, but then, someone realized how crazy talented she was and snatched her up before she could do a lot. So I've heard, lol. Susan Egan also played and sang the voice of "Meg" in Hercules. The Disney version of Hercules. DUDE. That's nuts.

I was hoping that she might be there! That and, two other girls sang my back-up songs (Part of Your World, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow). It's a God thing. It worked out, lol!

My days recently have consisted of watching the Germany Cast and the East Coast Cast rehearse for their Outreach Tours. Today, for example, I was there for eight hours O_o;. That's a lonnnnnnng time to be sitting on a chair. The crazy thing is...

I LOVED IT!!!! HEEEHEEEE!!! :D It's EXCITING!!!! I never get tired of it. Germany is leaving Wednesday, though, and East coast is leaving on Saturday. Most of my big brothers and sisters are leaving on that one. :) They're going to have a wonderful tour.

Anyway. I've got a day off tomorrow, and I'm not sure exactly what to do... Classes start Saturday (FINALLY!!!!) but other than that, I've got the whole week off... Got to think of something to do!

See ya real soon! (Not really... That's just what Mickey Mouse says, heehee!!!)

Disney Land! Day 2, Trip to Corona

We had some major problems yesterday. Oh my goodness. O_O'

We had to go through New Mexico, and that was fun. *insert sarcasm here*. I-40 was absolutely blocked off for some reason, and we spent 2 or more hours trying to get back to the interstate. That put us really behind. Ugh.

So, there we are. Stuck in Albuquerque, stuck in dead stand still, trying to find our way back, and it's hot.

And guess what?

We got a flat tire on our RV!

But, thanks to our manly-men, they changed the tire in record time, and we got back on the road. :D

We made it out of Albuquerque and continued our relentless trek to the Grand Canyon National Park.

We got there at 1:00 in the morning, but we still got there. When we got there, though, we got out and stated at the stars. You can SEE the STARS! :D You can't see that many back home at all, due to all the city lights. You can see them there. Wowwwww! :3 They were gorgeous. Thank you, Lord, for the stars!

This morning, we got up, had a great breakfast, made by our awesome nephew-in-law/cousin-in-law Adam, and scooted our way to the Grand Canyon.

Adam then made the statement, "How can you not believe in God when you see this?"

That sums up our trip to the Grand Canyon :).

Alrighty! Now, as I type this on my handy-dandy phone, we are on our way to California to drop me off in Corona for the YA's.

There is BIG news, though...

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY LAND TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!

More on that tomorrow!

Much Love,

"Califorrrrrrrrrrniaaaaaaaaa"!

Today marks the first day of he trip put to California. :) My poor little room that's over 800 miles away in TN is now vacant and empty. It's such a bittersweet thing, y'know.

As of now, I'm riding shotgun with my Mom, just outside of El Reno, OK. We just had to jump off our RV at a truck stop. It up and died out of the blue! Luckily, we were blessed enough to find a couple to jump us off, no problem. Thank you, nice people in the Chevy out in Oklahoma City!

We're all exhausted. We want sleep. It's just my momma and I now up and awake (barely). I started to wrote this in OK, but my phone died, and now I'm 20 miles outside of Amarillo, TX. Yeehaw!

But in BIG news, I got a huge surprise today.

So, without going into too much detail, my boyfriend (Scott) and I are holding onto our awesome relationship out in CA before I return home for Christmas!

That's not the big surprise, though ;).

I told my amazing boyfriend goodbye Thursday evening while he helped me pack my stuff in my already full car. He prayed with me, and told me goodnight, and left me. I was too tired to really dwell on the fact that I just said goodbye to him for a few months (which isn't that big of a deal), nor did I want to, so I fell asleep fairly quickly.

I got up this morning at 6:00 am, after receiving good rest, surprisingly. I packed up the REST of my stuff, cleaned up my little lonely room, and said goodbye, proud that I hadn't cried this morning.

I get out to the RV, hug people goodbye, and go in. I go to put up blankets behind the curtained bunk bed, and there's a CAMERA POINTED AT MY FACE, AND SOMEONE SAYING, "Surprise!"!!!!

I go, "EEP!!!" and shut the curtain.

It was Scott. The ever awesome boyfriend. :DDD

I was so EXCITED THAT HE WAS THERE!!! But all I said was, "EEP!".

... Ugh.

Scott's  here with me! He and my Mom had it planned from the beginning of August! It meant a lot to me to have him here :3.

Anyway, we've come to Amarillo, thank you Jesus! :D Mom and I are going to try and find an RV park for the night. *crosses fingers*

Till next time!

Nine Days and Nail Biting

Nine days.
Nine. Days.

Oh my gosh. I remember when it used to be a year ago, and I wanted this August to get here SO badly. Now that's it's here... I'm not sure what to think. I'm excited, I'm nervous, then I'm excited again... then I'm thinking, "Oh, jee, I need to pack."

Good news is, I've gotten done with my college algebra course, and I'm crossing my fingers and shooting up a prayer that it'll count for the Young Americans. I'm getting an associates degree from the YA's, and they require some classes to be taken, and they said they needed math. Hopefully, it'll count, and I won't have to take it again.

Math and I... we're not friends... at all. Ugh. I do not like math. Wait wait, I take it back. I like long division, fractions, and multiplication. I like doing those! :D

But math should never have letters in it. EVER.

*sigh* Nine days, though! My Mom's niece and her nephew-in-law, are coming with us on our trip. We're taking a side trip to the Grand Canyon, and they've never been there before, so we're making a trip :).

What's really kind of sad, though, is once we get there, unload my stuff, go through orientation (which will take ALLLLLL day on the 31st (I think it's the 31st...?)) they'll be leaving pretty much immediately the next day, due to work schedules at home.

Which is fine! I understand that. It's just a new part of my life ( a big new part!) and if I could, I'd have them stay for a month! Lol!

It'll all work out. :) I know it will. God says it will, so it will!

Till next time (NINE DAYS!!! EEHGHAD!!!)!

Much Love,

The Garden Burger - 21 Days!

I'm so excited! I met one of my New Kids 2011 classmates yesterday! She's my age, and her name is Megan. I really liked her! :D It's just reminding me how close I am to leaving my home town.

We finally figured out how to tow my car :). It was a little bit of a hassle, but we made it work.

In other OTHER news, I got a few new pieces of clothing for my shows at the Young Americans. SO EXCITED!!!

Here's what I picked up during Tax Free Weekend here in Nashville:

So, as you can tell, I'm excited! Can't WAIT! YAY!!

My favorite things I've bought so far, are my shoes, my back pack, and the gray/green sweater. :3 They say when you go out to the YA's, that you should express yourself. Well, I'm working on it! I know some things that I like, but I don't think I'm particular style...? I wear pretty much everything. That's modest. Modest is hottest. IMO.

Until the next internet posting!

Room Mates and Harry Potter

WOOT WOOT!

I'm SO THRILLED!!! :D I just got my list of room-mates and the roster of my 2011 New Kid freshman class! Seems like most of them are from Nebraska, which is awesome, lol. Two of my room mates are from NE, and the other is from Japan.

And then there's me, from TN. :D

I was on my facebook Monday afternoon and found a friend request from someone in Michigan. I really don't know anyone from Michigan, but I DO know that the Young Americans do a dinner theater out there, so I checked this person out, looked at their wall, and found out that THEY WERE A NEW KID 2011! I nearly screamed I was so excited.

There were a lot of other New Kids posting on her wall, so, I began adding people. Lol, in ONE day, I had added over 50+ facebook friends! I had a few people ask me, "Yeah, I saw that you added like, 40 people... Why...?" Lol. Pretty funny stuff. :)

That's my big news. My other update is that I'll be leaving August 26th... wait... I said that in my last post, I think... Huh.

... Well, I'm leaving August 26th! :D Just to re-post.

In other OTHER news, I just watched "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II" at the midnight premier of the movie. O_o' My friend and I waited in line for FIVE. HOURS. To see that movie.

I've only seen the very first HP movie (the day before I went to see the last one, go figure). You can imagine how confused I was. I mean, it wasn't that bad since I'd seen the first one. It was interesting.

But THIS. This picture displays my FAAAAVorite part of the whole experience:

This. Was. Epic.

Harry Potter 3D GLASSES.

Oh yes :3.

That was so cool! I'm not a fan of Harry Potter, due to all the witchcraft and stuff that's in it (I don't do the dark and creepy magic-y thing at all), but I WILL admit, from a technical side, the movie was REALLY pretty.

And  yeah. It was cool. :)

Well, that's all I can think of for this post. I'll post more as soon as something else comes up!

OH! I've got a YouTube channel for my vlogging! Subscribe if you like to:

Talk to you all soon!

SINGING TIME!

I sing, just fyi. I sing, no dance. Lol, I'm not Celine Dion by any means. I just like to sing, and I like to sing with other people who enjoy singing. FUN ALL AROUND! Lol!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uQThDzuUdU&feature=channel_video_title

So Much for THAT "Brilliant" Idea.

.:*Listening to "No One Mourns the Wicked" from Wicked*:.

Well, hello again. It's been practically over a year since I last posted. -__-' Looks like I'm not very consistent with blogging. Gosh, so many people are so good at it! I don't know how they do it, honestly. Haha, tips. Tips would be appreciated xD.

I've got everything set up for my move in August to Corona, CA. I'm going to be renting a housing apartment, and living "on campus", or rather, two minutes away from it. Which is fine, I'll have my "Ms. Ginny" (my 1994 red Toyota Camry (okay, technically, it's not "mine", it's my parents that I'm buying before I go, lol)) and that'll drive me anywhere. Have car, will travel :).

So, since I've been an absolute slacker with this poor blog, looks like I've got some catching up to do with the deets of my life, lol!

_____________________________________________

1) I started Dance lessons! My dance teacher's name is Natalie, and she's a former Young American herself, so she's been teaching me the dances she knew when she was traveling and doing shows for them. Now, just a disclaimer, I'm NOT (not not not not not!) a dancer! I tried when I was five, didn't like being stuck in the middle of the little dancers because I was the tallest -__-'.  But I've been learning, Natalie's GREAT. I've found a great friend in her and enjoy dancing a little more now!

2) I was in a production in Lebanon, TN called "Home for Christmas" where I played the lonely fiance named Jenny, who's almost-other-half was stuck trying to get home for Christmas (haha, get it?). That was fun. Got to sing with a guy called Brandon Green, who was formerly in the duo "JB Rocket". WHEN HE BECOMES FAMOUS, I CAN SAY I SANG WITH HIM! Lol!

3) My Mom became "Ma Bailey" in Steeple Player's Community Theater Christmas production of "It's a Wonderful Life", and I was there a few times for that (This becomes VERY important later on in this blog ;) ).

4) In the Winter Season, I became *drum roll* "Dorothy Gale" in SPCT production of "The Wizard of Oz"! THAT was huge for me! I had a wonderful time that whole entire show! I had the best cast, best directors, and man. That was a BIG blessing for me. That was my first lead EVER. I made wonderful friends in that show, one being my BFF Penny. I'm sure there's going to be more on Penny later, if not a video of us singing together.

(I MADE MY OWN RUBY SLIPPERS! HAHA!!!)

5) Now, I'm not going to be one of those bloggers who post very personal info about everything. Just so you all know. This is probably the most important update for me. On January 11th, 2011 (1/11/11 AWESOMESAUCE!!!!) the most amazing guy asked me to date him. I said, "DUDE YES!", of course. He played "George Bailey" in "It's a Wonderful Life", and after the show, he was spending time with my family a lot, and he and I got to know each other very well. He took me dancing, and I quickly came to the obvious conclusion: He's the most kind, generous, sweetest, talented man I've ever met. And for some reason, he wants to date me. :3 We're still dating now, and I'm so glad we are. He's been a blessing to me! One of these days, I'll post how we met and more deets.

6) I went to DISNEY WORLD!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! That was AMAZING. I got to meet Princess Aurora, and my boyfriend and I also auditioned for Disney. All they had us do was stand and smile with 170 other hopefuls. It was sad, but I'm glad we got to do it.

7) I became a Professional Nanny to two GORGEOUS little twin girls about 3. I love them to pieces! I've got this awesome job babysitting the two coolest little girls in the world. I leave them in 2 months, and it's going to be hard because I'm so attatched them. That's like a lot of things right now.

8) I got the priviledge to act side-by-side with my big brother (by less than a year) in the ever famous show called "M*A*S*H". Joshua (my darling big brother) played Radar O'Reilly. HE WAS THE BEST THING SINCE MARCONI! xD He was amazing, and played the part to a T. I didn't audition for that show, but they had someone drop out last minute, and I just so happen to be there. They asked me to play a small part named "Louise Kimble". It was fun! A very nice change from Dorothy Gale(not that that's supposed to be a bad thing...)

9) I won High School Vocal Solo in the Hendersonville Talent Gala! I've never won anything in my 18 years of living! >:3 My trophy's pretty. I sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and everyone else was doing like, songs from Burlesque (that movie with Christina Aguleira) and HUGE belty songs, and Over the Rainbow won. Huh. Who knew? But that was fun!!!

_____________________________________________

Alright! That's the important stuff, I think I'm updated. I should be getting my list of roomates soon, that's what Mike Krauss told me. I've already come in contact with a few people already, yay! So we'll see!

Wow... I'm getting ready for 2-4 years away from home. I'm leaving home... It's... kinda like a dream. It's still not setting in that I'm leaving. Goodness... I have 2 months left at home, and I know (sadly) that they're going to fly by. Wow...

Huh... Well. Y'know what they say:

"There's No Place Like Home..."
